Does Canadian Affairs have a mobile app?
Yes. To download our app, please follow these instructions:
- For iOS users: Navigate to our site — www.canadianaffairs.news — in Safari on your phone. Press the “Share” icon in the centre of the bottom panel. Scroll down and select “Add to Home Screen” from the popup. Tap “Add” in the top right corner to install our app.
- For Android users: Navigate to our site — www.canadianaffairs.news — in Chrome on your phone. Press the “three dot” icon in the upper right to open the menu. Select “Add to Home Screen.” Press the “Add” button in the popup to install our app.
How do I access content when I hit the reader paywall in an article?
You must register your email address to read our articles. By entering your email address, you will unlock that article and be able to keep reading. As a registered user, you can read eight articles each month for free before you will be asked to subscribe.

How do I log in if I have already registered my email address or am a paid subscriber?
- Navigate to “Sign In” on the upper right corner of our homepage. Or, when you hit the reader paywall within an article, click “Already registered? Sign In”.
- Enter your email address and click “Continue”.
- Check your inbox for the authorization code. (Check your spam folder if you don’t see it in your inbox.)
- Return to our site and enter that code to log in.
- Once logged in, you can set your own password by navigating to “My Account” on the upper right corner of the homepage. Or you can use the authorization code method for each log in.
How do I stay logged in for longer?
You should only be prompted to log in every 30 days. If you are being asked to log in more regularly, there are several possible reasons — and solutions — listed here.
How do I update my account settings?
Visit My Account to make changes to your account settings, including to set a password, change your newsletter preferences, update your billing information or cancel your subscription.
What is the digital news subscription tax credit and is a Canadian Affairs subscription eligible for it?
Yes, Canadian Affairs is a Qualified Canadian Journalism Organization (designation number Q3267218), so Canadians who purchase a Canadian Affairs subscription are eligible for the digital news subscription tax credit.
Do you offer group subscriptions?
Yes. We offer discounts on annual subscriptions to groups of five or more. Please contact us at sales@canadianaffairs.news if you are interested in learning about our group subscriptions.

Canadian Affairs News Inc. is a Canadian-controlled private corporation, wholly owned by Publisher & Editor Lauren Heuser. It has no outside investors.
